How did you two meet?
Alyse: We’re still waiting for that call to be on one of their commercials!
What do you do for a living?

Alyse: I’m an internal consultant for a career management company.
How did you get connected to King’s Church?
We moved from Cincinnati to Cleveland in 2016, after lots of prayer and reflection. We both felt God nudging us to step out in faith, and make big changes. But, when we settled in Cleveland, we struggled to connect with a local church. It was challenging because we loved Crossroads, our previous church in Cincinnati, and were very plugged in with our church family there. We questioned the move and began to wonder if we had made the right decision to come here. We felt that we had responded to God’s call, yet didn’t feel like it was being put into action.
After a particularly challenging few days of prayer and reflection, we went to see Hillsong at the Wolstein Center. Pastor Noah was called on stage to talk about a church that was launching in Cleveland. Alyse pulled her phone out in her seat at the concert and started looking up information about King’s Church. As soon as she read the line “with a heart to build a church of people from every age, race, and walk of life…” to me, we both knew we’d found the church that we were supposed to be a part of. God works in crazy ways, but this was one of the wildest ways He has shown himself to us. A few weeks later I had lunch with Pastor Noah and Alyse and I quickly plugged in to the Launch Team!
What do you love most about being part of the team?
Kevin: I love being a part of a team that is truly invested in sharing the Gospel of Jesus in Cleveland.
Alyse: Serving at King’s has introduced us to so many friends who have become like family. Also, considering that we came from a church with multiple sites and thousands of people, it’s been cool to contribute to the church’s foundation and watch it grow before our eyes.
What are the first 3 words that come to mind when you think of King’s?
Kevin: Creativity, honor, and purpose.
Alyse: Diverse, genuine, and applicable.
Kevin: He must increase, I must decrease. (John 3:30)
Alyse: Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance, and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:11-13)
